Age – Late Cretaceous; Commonality – Very Uncommon; Size – 2-5 mm
The tooth crowns of this ray are rounded, sometimes having weak angles on the sides. The root is bilobate, with foramina in the nutrient groove. The teeth look somewhat ugly, as they are unevenly twisted in some direction. These teeth can look like cow-nosed ray teeth, but are relatively elongated for their width and have a more random shape.
Teeth
Here is a typical tooth: elongate and twisted, with a rounded/angular crown.
